Free visit to the Natural History Museum - the oldest museum in Estonia. The museum is located in the same building as the conference venue - Vanemuise 46. By showing your conference name tag to the admission desk, you will be granted free access to the museum.
During the conference, the museum is open from Tuesday (2 July) to Sunday (7 July) from 10-18. With 220 years of history, the museum is full of fascinating stories and science. The collection consists of geology, zoology, botany and mycology. In total, there are over 1.2 million specimens of minerals, rocks, fossils, meteorites, invertebrates and vertebrate animals, algae, mosses, bryophytes, fungi and lichens. The collections are used in the daily work of scientists, lecturers, students, tutors and other professionals.
Thanks to the support of the City of Tartu all inner-city bus transportation (red city buses) during the conference days (1 - 7 July) will be free of charge to use! Free ticket applies only when you have your conference name tag with you, so please carry it with you at all times!
More information regarding the bus lines and timetables.In addition to the buses, the conference participants get a discount for the 5-day bike share ticket. The bike share system consists of 750 bikes in 100 bike stations across the city of Tartu and nearby municipalities. A total of 500 bikes are electric and the remaining 250 are regular bikes. Instead of 10€, our participants can purchase the ticket for only 6€(-40%).
