SunGIS was founded in 2011 as a development, integration, consulting and training company. We offer support in the implementation of open-source GIS software, data analysis and processing. We have created a great team that sets ambitious goals and wants to help you get the latest technological opportunities to your advantage. The main clients are state administrative institutions, private companies, and associations. In daily work touching such topics as forestry, utility network management, natural and historic resource management and preservation applying integrations with topic-specific analytical solutions and open source GIS opportunities.

Working with open-source GIS, we like to contribute to or sponsor the development of great tools like GRASS GIS, QGIS, GDAL, PostGIS and MapServer. In 2012, SunGIS hosted a QGIS developer meeting in Valmiera, Latvia.
