Saara-Maija is a dedicated GIS enthusiast and a full-stack software designer who specializes in open-source GIS and the built environment. She has an MSc in Forest Management and Geoinformatics from the University of Helsinki. Additionally, she is an active member of the OSGeo Local Chapter in Finland. Currently, she is employed by Solita, a technology, data, and design company located in Helsinki, Finland.
